James Larsen II is an independent technology advisor who helps organizations evaluate their technology vendors, staying involved from initial discovery and market evaluation through implementation, renewal, and ongoing support. He identifies a client’s business and technical requirements, compares provider capabilities and pricing, negotiates contracts, and helps manage renewals so clients avoid unnecessary costs and resolve vendor service or billing issues before they become bigger problems.
James approaches every engagement from the client’s perspective rather than starting with a particular provider or solution — asking detailed questions, surfacing risks and tradeoffs, and presenting options in clear terms so clients can decide with confidence. He works primarily with small and mid-sized organizations, including associations, nonprofits, professional services firms, healthcare-related organizations, staffing and recruiting companies, and government contractors, many of them managing complex vendor environments with limited internal IT resources.
James, who began his career at ARG, holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Information Science. Outside of work, he’s a videographer who has filmed several ARG events, including the company’s annual Capital Clash.
